We were appointed to design habitable rooms into the existing roof space at Milestone. The formation of a large flat roof dormer window to the rear roof slope has allowed sufficient space and headroom for two further bedrooms and a family bathroom.
The existing roof has now been upgraded to current standards and the original pantiles have been replaced with natural slate. The new dormer structure is now complete, covered in a Marley Eternity slate grey Cedral Lap cladding, presenting an excellent finish that is low maintenance and has a Class A fire rating.
JGA worked alongside CBL Consulting to design this detailed structural solution allowing our clients (who have undertaken the works themselves, with support from experience tradesmen) to progress with works on-site. This project has lead to a full strip out of the existing internal spaces, and with the roof now wind and water tight the focus has turned to these internal upgrades.
A great demonstration of utilising existing spaces to add value to a property and we very much look forward to seeing the complete transformation.
