We have the proven ability to design and deliver bespoke extensions, conversions and new build projects. Working collaboratively with our team of specialist consultants allows us to form clear workable solutions, using modern materials and fabrication methods which meet today’s requirements and future needs. Our energy, enthusiasm and commitment is evident from concept through to completion ensuring we deliver a high level of service. This has led to future projects by way of personal recommendations.

Our qualified, focused and friendly team prides itself on being responsive and committed to delivering outstanding results.

We forge personal relationships to understand our clients’ needs and ensuring designs exceed expectations. We explore, test and co-create practical designs against current Planning Policy and carefully consider the technical building standards at an early stage, to ensure approvals are gained first time.

James Gavey

James entered the construction industry to study architectural technology in 2002 and graduated from London South Bank University with First Class Honours in 2010. James established JG Architecture in early 2013 and has built up comprehensive experience in domestic and residential building projects across the island.

In 2018, following a successful interview process with a board of assessors from the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT), James achieved Chartered Status as an Architectural Technologist.

As well as enjoying leisure time with his young family, James loves to be on the golf course, touch rugby field or catching up on football and rugby union.

Miles Pengelley

Senior Architectural Technologist

Miles joined JG Architecture in 2016 whilst studying for a BSc Architectural Technology with London South Bank University. Graduating this course in November 2017 with First Class Honours, Miles brings meticulous planning to our design and construction methods and has great skill in realising a client brief, often exceeding expectations. Having entered the construction industry in 2008, Miles has focused experience with domestic extensions, conversions and residential projects. Each of these traits contributed to Miles’ selection as The Construction Industries ‘Aspiring Star’ at the 2018 Construction Awards.

In his downtime, Miles is a keen sportsman playing football, volleyball and basketball… in fact Miles will turn his hand to most sports with a competitive approach, no matter how social the sport is supposed to be!

Away from sport, Miles enjoys eating out with friends and telling bad jokes to anyone who will listen.

Josh is the most recent member of JGA, starting in March 2019. He has joined the team with a wealth of technical knowledge and experience behind him.

Due to his father being a local builder Josh’s interest in construction and architecture started at an early age. After completing his A-levels at Grammar Josh entered the world of work as a trainee Architectural Technician and then went on to complete a 5 year apprenticeship studying the ‘Built Environment’.

To date Josh has worked on a range of projects locally from small domestic extensions to large residential developments and commercial schemes.

Outside of work Josh enjoys a variety of sport including football, cycling and motor racing.

Dan Tibbs
